“If you are looking for expert advice that is collaborative, curious, and offers tools/guidance to help empower you to be and feel better – Sportslab is a brilliant. Matt and his staff are top shelf, and I simply wouldn’t want to see anyone other than them. Highly recommend.”

– Dominic M.

“Having been to over a dozen physical therapists in the past 15 years for a variety of joint related issues, Jake stands heads and shoulders above the rest. He has been instrumental in helping me recover from a variety of injuries as well as helping me resolve long running and recurring injuries to one of my knees.

I was thoroughly impressed with the people and the facilities at SportsLab. Will definitely be back.”

– Scott F.

“What a fantastic facility! I love the industrial vibe and so much natural light. Very nicely appointed. When it’s warm outside, SportsLab is adjacent to open park space (bonus).
The equipment is new and impressive. There’s plenty of space as a “waiting area” inside and just outside of the front door. And there are cubbies for storage during your therapy appointment.
The Team is super professional and approachable and know their shiz. :)”

– Leslie W.

Laura Owen, LMT

Laura is now IN NETWORK with Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. If you are interested in seeing if you have massage benefits, please call BCBS to confirm.

Self Pay Price: $100, 60 minute massage

Laura Owen is a licensed massage therapist with over a decade of experience specializing in sports and orthopedic massage. After retiring as a professional dancer in New York City, she earned a degree in biology and chemistry from Hunter College (CUNY), an academic foundation that continues to shape her evidence-informed, movement-focused approach to care.

Her interest in rehabilitation deepened after recovering from a serious running injury, where working with a physical therapist who was also an LMT revealed the power of integrated manual therapy. Laura went on to train in lomi lomi massage in Hawai’i and later refined her clinical skills through mentorship with Mel Cash of the London School of Sports Massage and Whitney Lowe of the Academy of Clinical Massage, solidifying her focus on sports and orthopedic work.

Laura is not a pressure-based massage therapist. Her sessions are guided by each client’s goals, history, and nervous system response, emphasizing mobility, efficiency, and neuromuscular neutrality rather than force. While she incorporates deep tissue techniques and orthopedic principles, her style remains rooted in the lomi tradition—adaptive, respectful, and responsive to the individual. Outside the clinic, Laura can be found training for races, working in her metalsmithing studio, or collaborating closely with her own physical therapist. She looks forward to helping clients meet their movement goals with care that is skilled, thoughtful, and human.

Georgia Fountas, LMT

Georgia is not in network with any insurance companies.

Throughout her career, she’s worked in the medical/sports massage industries and has worked with people of all ages and abilities. She’s taught and developed curriculum for massage schools on the east coast. She loves a good challenge, working on those chronic annoyances bodies seem to love to hold onto. Georgia has a Bachelors of Science degree in Applied Health and Fitness for Special Populations, from the OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and has worked as an ACSM CPT.
